My New Love :)

If you've clicked the link to read a deep article on my love life than I'm sorry to deceive you...My new love for a while now has been my parrot! To celebrate Valentines, and since it's been a while that I've published... I thought it would be a great time to share my love story with Coco!

I met him this summer, and I instantly fell in love with this little green ball. He was 3 months old, and I would visit him every week until he was strong enough to bring him home. When I first started telling people that I got a parrot, I had many weird looks.. Apparently having a bird isn't common... I love dogs, not so much cats but why not have a bird as a pet! I've always loved birds, they are quite underestimated by people. Birds are very curious, intuitive and sociable creatures...They are the closest animals related to dinosaurs!

Coco is a Quaker parrot, and he has the ability to talk. So far he has learned at least 30 words and he is not even a year old. He is very playful, docile, and enjoys being part of the conversation. Unlike other birds he doesn't sing much, he mainly chit chats throughout the day, and screams to warn or when he's scared. Hopefully he will live up to 18 -20 years, and will endure my lifestyle ;) Getting a parrot or any pet is  big commitment, and I take that responsibility very seriously. If you don't have time for a pet, please don't get one! Coco requires time, and a lot of attention. He is still in training mode so it's important for me spend valuable time with him.

Anyways he is absolutely adorable, I'm so happy that he's part of my life. You can see some of our adventures on Instagram :)
