Going through a breakup is never easy especially if things ended on a sour note. After my breakups I tend to do many stupid things that I sometimes wish never happened but it's all part of the process. One thing that I've learned is to not be hard on yourself, and that it's okay to be sad or angry. Trust me, you'll go through many emotional phases but keep in mind that it will all pass! Here are some of the things that helped me move on and move forward with my life after a messy breakup. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
1. Cut all contact</h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4xdEr0LUoD4iJBxtP6mAVlM9A2dKQfxyPS0K7ZVFH1W7dvsE8zFWYPuJUPsNJWjnPfQPtWQK4TOvw3ERRRgdEYYZF28kj9PVW6mflecS4uhEXWIG6F75FZr10pppB2Kr3aKJ9-eU5lU8/s1600/cutcontact.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4xdEr0LUoD4iJBxtP6mAVlM9A2dKQfxyPS0K7ZVFH1W7dvsE8zFWYPuJUPsNJWjnPfQPtWQK4TOvw3ERRRgdEYYZF28kj9PVW6mflecS4uhEXWIG6F75FZr10pppB2Kr3aKJ9-eU5lU8/s1600/cutcontact.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm guilty myself of contacting time after time my ex, and still having that hope that I would find the person I fell in love with... However, that person you once fell in love with has moved on and isn't there anymore. As much as it hurts, it's better to completely block them from your life. Literally block them from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter any type of social media platform. You need to focus on yourself, because you need to take care of your well being emotionally, mentally, and physically. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
2. Make lists </h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5m-YzO7j3GacoBphvggTEoZlets_m0JpVkyXiZQ8BUql-GqdBD-AO1rcGoxBmz_AWcKRIXeMkBVNzZVvT2-kDCqFHHe0KETnBiU4_vfYxqKcpapFiu6HR9IadDOsmPcbzOtoWJDh9Cmw/s1600/listss.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5m-YzO7j3GacoBphvggTEoZlets_m0JpVkyXiZQ8BUql-GqdBD-AO1rcGoxBmz_AWcKRIXeMkBVNzZVvT2-kDCqFHHe0KETnBiU4_vfYxqKcpapFiu6HR9IadDOsmPcbzOtoWJDh9Cmw/s1600/listss.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Making lists has become my form of organizing my thoughts. It's very hard to think clearly when you are dwelling over a messy breakup. Writing down my goals, and putting down on paper the things I want to accomplish has helped me to visualize all of my potential. It will help you realize that there is so much more out there in this world than to be dwelling on the past.
</div><div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
3. Workout </h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigWjPzhTt8o3Smg08J28_b_4BaEcDhi2m0BqFplDqkO4COl58T5DMrPwwxn-ded35SmWdJt4V7QG1FOgVyaTj1v4D02FoWV9Bpf313awQnvaklWhRGT6j0jA2rqRod54EZMe1R-dKedXI/s1600/workoutk.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigWjPzhTt8o3Smg08J28_b_4BaEcDhi2m0BqFplDqkO4COl58T5DMrPwwxn-ded35SmWdJt4V7QG1FOgVyaTj1v4D02FoWV9Bpf313awQnvaklWhRGT6j0jA2rqRod54EZMe1R-dKedXI/s1600/workoutk.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After going through a horrible breakup I had a lot of negative energy in me, and my way to escape all of those ugly thoughts has been to work out. Turn your anger into healthy workout sessions. In the first stages of a breakup I feel like you find yourself either bored or sad because you don't know how to fill out your weekends. Adding workouts to your week helps to clear your mind, and it creates a routine. On a side note, working out produces serotonin which is commonly known as the happy hormone! So get working!<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
4.Take a trip </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you have the means to travel far away for a week or more just do it! The feeling of running away, and escaping a breakup is definitely needed by anyone. Even just a weekend getaway to some city nearby can be very liberating. Just visiting a place that has no connection to your ex is an amazing way to disconnect and move on from the past. Create new memories by yourself or with friends with a trip!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
5. Go to a spa! </h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFyEy1TWGMHLi0DlU45V_i7a62AEgKNzWlykF35CHOgrnz2jUymYTzGBP3TngZMQ2W2BVJrtP1NbgymRjLyFaZj2XiSR21jJ2VmN6j6MGaFdNLfXuOohtzsbdy6ABbxkaEOgsKTEDrvpk/s1600/spaday.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFyEy1TWGMHLi0DlU45V_i7a62AEgKNzWlykF35CHOgrnz2jUymYTzGBP3TngZMQ2W2BVJrtP1NbgymRjLyFaZj2XiSR21jJ2VmN6j6MGaFdNLfXuOohtzsbdy6ABbxkaEOgsKTEDrvpk/s1600/spaday.jpg" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Unwind at a spa or simply book a massage, it's all going to help you relax. Going through a breakup is very stressful, and makes us physically tense up. If you don't want to splurge on a spa, just take a good long bath with a glass of wine or binge watch a show on Netflix. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
6. Don't stay alone </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I realized that after almost 4 years of being in a relationship I had isolated myself from my family, and friends. Reconnecting with those that actually matter in your life will help you move forward, and realize there are so many more people that care about you. I'm so thankful to have such an amazing support system with my family. Go out to the movies, get a coffee, and just talk; enjoy yourself! It's very important to plan your weekends to keep busy. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
7. Clean up! Out of sight, out of mind!</h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Put all of your ex's belongings or anything that reminds you of them in a box. I remember that everything in my room reminded me of my ex, and it got to a point that I wanted to redecorated! Obviously my family told me that I would be nuts to do that. I did put away some things, and it helped me to have it out of sight. You don't have to throw it away or burn it but just put in a box, and you can re look at those memories once you are completely over your relationship. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
</h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
8. Pamper yourself</h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have weekly masks, do your nails, and get a cosmetic treatment of your choice. I love skincare, and now more than ever I've devoted my time to taking care of my face. Do whatever is at your comfort level but do something that makes you feel even more beautiful. A breakup can hit hard on our self esteem, and it's not shallow to want to look our best. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
</h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
9. Feed your soul </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's very important to ground yourself, and focus on your happiness. As someone of faith, I'm still working on reconnecting to my beliefs, and placing all of my worries in God's hands. Every human being has a spiritual side that needs to be filled, regardless of your faith you need to take care of your soul. Seek some spiritual guidance whether it's meditation, praying, or whatever makes your soul happy. <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
10. Shopping Therapy</h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Get something that you've been coveting for months, seriously buy that designer handbag! Work on building a shoe collection or start a collection of key jewelry pieces. Being singles saves you so much money because you don't spend on outings, or gifts for that other person... you have more money to splurge on yourself :)<br />
<br />
<br />
Last but not least don't be hard on yourself, and simply take care of yourself. Don't jump into another relationship as that's not a solution. Heal, and work on yourself before dating. <br />

It's also a great time to reflect on ways of improving our approach to relationships, friendships, family and challenges. I hate label these new habits as resolutions since they're not goals to accomplish but simply new habits to try and see if it suits your lifestyle. Here are some that I would like to try this year and hopefully they become a lifetime habit.</p><h3 style="text-align: center;">Beach Bod</h3><div style="text-align: center;">Countless of people decide to diet or lose weight as a new year's resolution, however in my case I simply want to keep my body moving all year round and feel good about my body. I tend to keep myself quite active during the summer with swimming and biking but when the cold weather comes I tend to hibernate. I would like to start working out at least twice a week and hopefully when gyms reopen take barre classes at a studio. I'm hoping to have defined abs this summer! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><h3 style="text-align: center;">New Skills</h3><div style="text-align: center;">It's been a while since I've learned a new skill and I would like to refine and expand my skills in the design industry. Over the past 5 years, I've focused on growing my experience yet I haven't taken on new courses since graduating and I feel it's time to learn something new. I've previously received courses in 3D modelling while studying industrial design but I would like to learn other softwares that could be applied to footwear design. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><h3 style="text-align: center;">Networking </h3><div style="text-align: center;">The past 2 years have been very difficult with networking and meeting new people in the industry as trade shows and material shows have been at halt. However, this year I truly want to actively network more with people in my field whether at events or online. It's such an essential aspect of this industry to network and make new contacts to learn new skills or meet suppliers that can help you with design projects or job hunting. It's very important to foster genuine professional connections with other peers in this industry to move forward in your career. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><h3 style="text-align: center;">Journaling </h3><div style="text-align: center;">I started journaling from a young age but in the last couple of years I've been less consistent with my entries and I would like to make it a habit to journal on a daily basis. I find that journaling helps me express my feelings and thoughts but it also allows me to reflect on both the good and bad that has happened to me. It's always good to read back on those entries and see how you've progressed. It definitely feels good to write down my thoughts, it feels like an emotional purge. I like to journal at night and reflect on how my day went. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><h3 style="text-align: center;"> Minimal Shopping</h3><div style="text-align: center;">Over the past few years, I've made an effort of reducing my shopping habits but I always go back into my old habits of buying more... This year I would like to make a chart with all of my clothes/ accessories/ shoe spending to minimize my shopping. I'm also reaching an age that I've invested in many key items in my closet so I only need a few seasonal essentials but I definitely would like to be even more mindful of my purchases moving forward. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for reading :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">- Nelly </div><h3 style="text-align: center;"><br /></h3>nellycerrihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10006803121629812562noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5465125141959982932.post-43642372528711149692021-04-23T22:04:00.005-04:002021-04-23T22:04:57.319-04:00TOP 5 Footwear Trends - Summer 2021 <p style="text-align: center;"> This article is coming out a little bit later than I would have preferred but I hope it will be of help for those that want to stay in trend for the summer. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMbBZzrv7ZUXV74Fe6xglUYypDB0ZOHycJDmJVz2N_Ha25tOccFK4rpF_d6f_WkvoIxAuwiYmCvFZA-QV1lo-adqKHICgsPZ25I8b6Qkt-3R56SgiSi25Es242zGDg17WTDUAspTSqraE/s2048/retro_sneaker.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2048" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMbBZzrv7ZUXV74Fe6xglUYypDB0ZOHycJDmJVz2N_Ha25tOccFK4rpF_d6f_WkvoIxAuwiYmCvFZA-QV1lo-adqKHICgsPZ25I8b6Qkt-3R56SgiSi25Es242zGDg17WTDUAspTSqraE/w640-h384/retro_sneaker.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Retro sneakers are definitely making a huge comeback this season. New Balance came back really strong with their 327 sneakers that have sold out almost everywhere. I was able to snatch a pair in black and I'm loving the look and comfort. Many other brands have come up with their twist but if you're able to grab a pair of the New Balance 327, just take them they retail for about 110$ CA, which isn't bad for comfortable and stylish sneakers. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRagjMmTJBcgap20mE9Y-KXTnWmr-vet5qu9VzrS2AyOLBGQL9Dr_1Mny_M44PDWCBdA-pNJDyapP4gPcW7wsFAafaDOVFJgf8yWQ2616CEnhm5Dg7ZbsxhTuMRjdL-B2_nHtyKzyi1_A/s2048/thick_thongs.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2048" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRagjMmTJBcgap20mE9Y-KXTnWmr-vet5qu9VzrS2AyOLBGQL9Dr_1Mny_M44PDWCBdA-pNJDyapP4gPcW7wsFAafaDOVFJgf8yWQ2616CEnhm5Dg7ZbsxhTuMRjdL-B2_nHtyKzyi1_A/w640-h384/thick_thongs.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These Zori inspired sandals came out last summer and some people did jump on the trend wagon, however they're coming back this summer with many more pattern versions and obviously it's been commercialized. Personally they're not my favourite, I'm not a big fan of thong sandals as I find them uncomfortable on toes but I could see why these sandals are fashionable. </div> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0rg66vhmvOMbOPgZvWxp_xsKOV8cCAdFI-5x2SJVZaDl_JrOBYaYuXnVSsCAfaGVDHaIvi1cskH7fVm2Q1N_rrlxgrF_4KyefgExD272hjg9gTDRdugFUEBKLL73mWDzh7aGxNhqoxYc/s2048/trek_sandals.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2048" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0rg66vhmvOMbOPgZvWxp_xsKOV8cCAdFI-5x2SJVZaDl_JrOBYaYuXnVSsCAfaGVDHaIvi1cskH7fVm2Q1N_rrlxgrF_4KyefgExD272hjg9gTDRdugFUEBKLL73mWDzh7aGxNhqoxYc/w640-h384/trek_sandals.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Platform sandals have always been around, however this year TEVA is literally going to increase their sales by a lot more! These fashionable trek like sandals are literally everywhere and they come at different retail price point so it's good for anyone's budget. I might get a pair for myself this summer :)</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYxTjSCsVYBI4yyc4vGuYIf_ldTqtsgKc2F2I3sBgQXWIPZvO8qENkIObIuQb_WspBxti3IMhvGqEBIAYMZrhhoPZ8Cl4h5Q2ddmen4TeJXsPoQesNDa0VtkMm0_CkHRnWIhn63LxO27I/s2048/JELLY_SANDALS.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2048" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYxTjSCsVYBI4yyc4vGuYIf_ldTqtsgKc2F2I3sBgQXWIPZvO8qENkIObIuQb_WspBxti3IMhvGqEBIAYMZrhhoPZ8Cl4h5Q2ddmen4TeJXsPoQesNDa0VtkMm0_CkHRnWIhn63LxO27I/w640-h384/JELLY_SANDALS.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Jelly, jelly, jelly all the way! I personally passionately hate jelly like sandals or shoes because they get extremely HOT with the sun, they make your feet sweat and stinky and to top it all off they are THE worst shoes for the environment because they're made of PVC which a plastic that is literally impossible to breakdown... Now will this stop companies from making these shoes... probably not, and will it stop from consumers to gravitate towards this instagram trend... probably not! If you're into this trend you can get a lookalike of these Gucci sandals at your local Steve Madden. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUo42AVU5EuaY0M_VXRNd32Vk-Fgr7rXLvuOp57X7Y7v8M7jLpcVo21-R-t3LY-_iDXAGI-BvYVrYW9F3VW7hxZSJ3ipUYkgzMW9NEN0FKW_ROwCJ9vpJ_Y7BRo25i2oex_OtAhA2knXY/s2048/airjordans.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2048" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUo42AVU5EuaY0M_VXRNd32Vk-Fgr7rXLvuOp57X7Y7v8M7jLpcVo21-R-t3LY-_iDXAGI-BvYVrYW9F3VW7hxZSJ3ipUYkgzMW9NEN0FKW_ROwCJ9vpJ_Y7BRo25i2oex_OtAhA2knXY/w640-h384/airjordans.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Air Jordan kicks are simply iconic and they're an essential style to add to your shoe collection. I had a pair back when I was 20 something but I should get myself a new pair. This year even Dior collaborated with Nike to create this unique pair of Air Jordan's that cost a fortune! This season many girls will be wearing a pair of Air Jordans in a primary color like red, green or blue. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Hope you enjoyed reading this article!</p><p style="text-align: center;">- Nelly </p>nellycerrihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10006803121629812562noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5465125141959982932.post-4323181228640246102020-12-06T12:00:00.004-05:002020-12-06T12:00:32.663-05:00Cruelty Free Makeup <p style="text-align: center;">I feel like I always begin my articles with "it's been a while since last time I posted something..." The truth is that I've had the time to write but I haven't felt inspired to write product reviews given the current situation that we are living. There are far more important things to consider during this crisis instead of reviewing products... But as time passes I'm realizing that life continues and we should try to focus on issues that matter to us. In my case I've realized that I should pay even more attention on the products that I'm purchasing and also encourage others to do the same... </p><p style="text-align: center;">Anybody that knows me, knows that I love animals especially birds. I knew that some companies were still practicing animal testing but I wasn't aware of the fact that <i><b>China forces beauty companies to test their products on animals if they want to be sold in mainland</b></i>. From a business perspective selling in China is a huge opportunity for a profit growth. However, I was eager to know which companies truly cared about the integrity of their values. Here are some brands that are labelled cruelty free and that I personally use! Please switch to cruelty free brands as animal testing is a barbaric measure that should be completely banned. </p><p style="text-align: center;">If you have a specific brand that you would like to check if they are cruelty free I recommend to visit the website below as it's always updating their data base. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/" target="_blank">https://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/</a><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><h2 style="text-align: center;">Glossier</h2><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKkRTodeaJisUa05ngU41qva4WAT6BxbJ9d_qi9ujIhNJWVKWQLRfQ50zVbLX8czcyDDyNikxnczY50fkq2HcOjTYD9MljSRmNiKcZw3cHWGhoVGqZcqwMcid4e-PUOTGS9yTLZvL3vrY/s1067/1250157-800w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="800" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKkRTodeaJisUa05ngU41qva4WAT6BxbJ9d_qi9ujIhNJWVKWQLRfQ50zVbLX8czcyDDyNikxnczY50fkq2HcOjTYD9MljSRmNiKcZw3cHWGhoVGqZcqwMcid4e-PUOTGS9yTLZvL3vrY/s16000/1250157-800w.jpg" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">Glossier has become an iconic beauty brand for new generations. Their "no makeup look" has influenced this effortless bare skin beauty trend. Such trend embraces natural beauty and skin imperfections. I love Glossier because they truly pay attention to every single detail in their product, from the quality to the packaging and branding. I personally recommend the boy brow gel, generation G lipstick and the brow flick pen.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><h2 style="text-align: center;">Kosas</h2><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHxrEd5e4jqcqQh4QlgUx3mf6HwSVtY5wzus5jdIS5zuluzg5EIBgMvL2NI8ISpUJHnKiPvT0F-XWExZZ4prkHiBxBy2oxe1kWdXUogkrNPtITpzd91NSf9GYxUcXBMi6b7eDmX3YoyFQ/s720/Kosas_The_Big_Clean_mascara_BrushDetails-1_720x.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="720" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHxrEd5e4jqcqQh4QlgUx3mf6HwSVtY5wzus5jdIS5zuluzg5EIBgMvL2NI8ISpUJHnKiPvT0F-XWExZZ4prkHiBxBy2oxe1kWdXUogkrNPtITpzd91NSf9GYxUcXBMi6b7eDmX3YoyFQ/s16000/Kosas_The_Big_Clean_mascara_BrushDetails-1_720x.jpg" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">I first tried Kosas last year when it was still low on the beauty radar and I did enjoy their blush but at the time they didn't have many options to offer on Sephora but now they carry almost their entire collection! This brand is not only cruelty free but they also avoid using many harmful ingredients in their products which allows them to be branded clean at Sephora. I highly recommend their lip oil gloss, it's really comfortable and comes in beautiful shades, my next products to try are their bronzer and concealer! </p><h2 style="text-align: center;">Marc Jacobs Beauty</h2><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinjLpqUST_Xai8wZX8KkS2XUdaiDuuBhSKZZvu11jAP7PlnfZQ65pYUHQicEAOCOHU_qpyq9UwzZ-k1n2EWCFLK5WDeV6lykpxnSSs-pTGewXXt0lDp0kK-5ajjsV0HBZ641CKW5mqBkk/s901/mjb_zone3_1301x1296_img2-901x898.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="898" data-original-width="901" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinjLpqUST_Xai8wZX8KkS2XUdaiDuuBhSKZZvu11jAP7PlnfZQ65pYUHQicEAOCOHU_qpyq9UwzZ-k1n2EWCFLK5WDeV6lykpxnSSs-pTGewXXt0lDp0kK-5ajjsV0HBZ641CKW5mqBkk/s16000/mjb_zone3_1301x1296_img2-901x898.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Anybody that knows me knows that I love Marc Jacobs. I've always loved their branding and I appreciate their take on the beauty market. I've pretty much tested everything except foundation from Marc Jacobs, they have amazing well pigmented products and beautifully packaged. I highly recommend their bronzers, eye pencils (they come in all possible shades!) They also have an amazing eyeliner that is impossible to wash away! It really makes me happy to see that they advocate for animal rights. </p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><h2 style="text-align: center;">Stila </h2><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNj9kR4ZF0PvAtzvensEmwPbv9EDUbzeDURhgp3uu8DnjKypLk4fitetAOOuPYbwzZLAqnb4mMpW0T1HUervMr2wm_LFWL8XtCsnXxHcpL60fvmCuSL18Gat-OEE6Yku-AYi2K8AQWWBY/s1005/SB96_Shimmer%2526Glow-KITTEN-OPEN.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1005" data-original-width="670" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNj9kR4ZF0PvAtzvensEmwPbv9EDUbzeDURhgp3uu8DnjKypLk4fitetAOOuPYbwzZLAqnb4mMpW0T1HUervMr2wm_LFWL8XtCsnXxHcpL60fvmCuSL18Gat-OEE6Yku-AYi2K8AQWWBY/w427-h640/SB96_Shimmer%2526Glow-KITTEN-OPEN.jpg" width="427" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Stila was probably one of the first "non drugstore" brands that I ventured on but now they can be purchased in some drugstores which isn't a bad thing to be honest. They are probably one of the most underrated brands in an over saturated beauty market, however this brand sells quality products at a reasonable price. I've bought many of their liquid lipsticks as they are smooth matte and stay on forever (but not the annoying forever kind that never washes off) I also highly recommend their liquid eyeliner that is equally or better than Kat Von D...Next product I would love to test is their liquid eye shadows, they seem highly pigmented.</p><p style="text-align: center;"> </p><h2 style="text-align: center;">Anastasia Beverly Hills </h2><h2 style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGgCW31b8bu645GNT3F-BzuzDYDgAgqjAnpYXMO5t7o7gg4eBIGBnw669QUCmrpA9JYcbKJxxYdMm2yFMPNhbGcxiXaZ78iPo9s5BwteXTYYkEIZ2ta0d16fbU45KS_xZh_ZlTQtWcpWM/s1376/ABH_Alt-Images_Refresh2020_Brow_BrowWiz02_optimized.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1376" data-original-width="1376" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGgCW31b8bu645GNT3F-BzuzDYDgAgqjAnpYXMO5t7o7gg4eBIGBnw669QUCmrpA9JYcbKJxxYdMm2yFMPNhbGcxiXaZ78iPo9s5BwteXTYYkEIZ2ta0d16fbU45KS_xZh_ZlTQtWcpWM/w640-h640/ABH_Alt-Images_Refresh2020_Brow_BrowWiz02_optimized.jpg" width="640" /></a></div></h2><p style="text-align: center;">Whoever hasn't tried Anastasia Beverly Hills on their eyebrows is living under a rock or in stone age... I'm just kidding but it's almost impossible not to have heard about this brand if you're all about having beautiful eyebrows. This brand has expanded their products to eye shadows, lipsticks and many other products non related to eyebrows. I highly recommend to try their Brow Wiz pencil and their clear gel, however I must warn you that they are very pigmented so no harsh lines on your eyebrows please. I'm very happy to know that they are cruelty free :) </p><p style="text-align: center;">I hope you enjoyed reading my article! Micellar water became essential as a first step to removing makeup but in my case I never really got into that trend; instead I really got hooked on cleansing balms. I wear waterproof mascara and I just felt that cleansing balms were much more effective. My journey with cleansing balms has led me to an involuntary review as I've tried a couple from expensive to drugstore; so here are some that I've tried in the past couple of years. </font><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><font size="4">Cleansing Balm - Clinique </font><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><font size="2">I started off with Clinique cleansing balm and it was a game changer in my night routine. It really removes a lot of makeup however it's a bit waxy and once I started using other cleansing balms such as the one from Farmacy this Clinique cleansing balm was slowly put aside... Although I was amazed by Green Clean cleansing balm from Farmacy, I had heard rumors claiming that my favorite balm wasn't very "clean" and that it may have plastic particles in their formula... I'm not sure if that's true but it led me to trying this one from Drunk Elephant. The formula is very waxy and a bit difficult to work it into the skin but it does melt the makeup. It's similar to the one from Clinique, a good design detail that I very much appreciate is the magnetic spoon on the lid to scoop the product out. Overall, for the same results I rather pay for the one from Clinique. </font><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><font size="4"><br /></font></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzVADPMsAjdphehJ5k8j7vPTES-pO9KcNX1GsD_Dknh60iS-wKk3trIHdFnGGzQbnmbqcsBqgIlZ772zaJrZAwtArZBuwQOdozwn9l-MgJajnN4puN_rVKLx01HxLARGtMIO-PDrJDnLc/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzVADPMsAjdphehJ5k8j7vPTES-pO9KcNX1GsD_Dknh60iS-wKk3trIHdFnGGzQbnmbqcsBqgIlZ772zaJrZAwtArZBuwQOdozwn9l-MgJajnN4puN_rVKLx01HxLARGtMIO-PDrJDnLc/d/drunk_elephant.jpg" /></a></div><font size="4"><br /></font></div><div style="text-align: center;"><font size="4">Cleansing Balm - REN <br /></font></div><div style="text-align: center;"><font size="4"><br /></font></div><div style="text-align: center;"><font size="4"><font size="2">In the past couple of months I've tried to transition into a more "clean" skincare routine and with my cleansing balm fascinations I bumped into this one by REN. It's time to put away those winter boots and make room for some fresh summer shoes. Here are the biggest trends that we'll be seeing in a lot in stores! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Chunky Sandals </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Chunky boots were a huge trend this winter and it will continue onto summer and most likely it will be back in fall... Velcro straps and chunky outsoles are the key styling elements for these sandals. They can be paired with a flowy mid length skirt or a pair of wide leg pants. The sandals down below are from Vagabond Shoemaker and I'm kind of digging them... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqEcAjKaSpJ4IqlVAkW5MVxXjopYkE6N9sPbWmC-J4BXeFZB8jljVISadN2oEOb1AOQKliavvV1zwGLmCPzI9OWGDfIdJTf7Imd3ras4Ft-HyUo6faNhkU9PMS0T74bNc-ZOG4f-VIe4k/s1600/chunkysandal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqEcAjKaSpJ4IqlVAkW5MVxXjopYkE6N9sPbWmC-J4BXeFZB8jljVISadN2oEOb1AOQKliavvV1zwGLmCPzI9OWGDfIdJTf7Imd3ras4Ft-HyUo6faNhkU9PMS0T74bNc-ZOG4f-VIe4k/s1600/chunkysandal.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Loafers</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Loafers are a classic and it's always good to invest a good pair of leather loafers. This summer it seems the trend is to wear loafers with a chain or some hardware ornament on the apron (front part). These go nicely with a pair of cigarette pants or some dad jeans; loafers are very versatile and are great for a business casual style. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

</tbody></table>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Square Toe</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Square toe shoes came full force last year and it's still going on strong for the upcoming seasons. I personally prefer a good pair of square toe sandals with a block heel; I find they look more balanced versus with a stiletto or kitten heel. This season square toe sandals will be available in many more retailers as last year not many jumped on this trend. I highly recommend to get a pair in a color, this sky blue is a very trendy colour this summer (as seen below). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmptGmJwNwi4r14tAEIz0WfWELaFvhbpLNwR20KWBW_BRUTMxSE7L2vMpqpSWlbysMVpB5HephHRVSBArIeHWwoMUO3h3q2PgwhZjiDiiCksQCCibe4OwVgnA0c_PoascF1aZHPuaslQY/s1600/squaretoe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmptGmJwNwi4r14tAEIz0WfWELaFvhbpLNwR20KWBW_BRUTMxSE7L2vMpqpSWlbysMVpB5HephHRVSBArIeHWwoMUO3h3q2PgwhZjiDiiCksQCCibe4OwVgnA0c_PoascF1aZHPuaslQY/s1600/squaretoe.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Left side - and other stories / Right side - Zara </td><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Platform Sandals </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last summer the infamous slinky sandals by Steve Madden made a comeback and this summer platform sandals are back again but you can step away from the elastic band and get a pair with embossed leather or puffed straps. Platform sandals can be a little bit tricky to wear and uncomfortable at the beginning so make sure you don't wear them for long walks. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKtKBDysr3Oa-PyaME6lQ7MFkBYwXLWgPgw41Z84IdIr8RrVCyMS-flU6a5-QACdgvvukkR4O8IJJhqmgYhJe3F2O79lz43rfWGIODIEEYm39pTKZwfjO3GIjRG_7MuLb0GeZggy5gcJ8/s1600/platform.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKtKBDysr3Oa-PyaME6lQ7MFkBYwXLWgPgw41Z84IdIr8RrVCyMS-flU6a5-QACdgvvukkR4O8IJJhqmgYhJe3F2O79lz43rfWGIODIEEYm39pTKZwfjO3GIjRG_7MuLb0GeZggy5gcJ8/s1600/platform.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Top Left - Vagabond Shoemaker / Bottom Left - Zara / Right side - Jeffrey Campbell </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Novelty Heels </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cult Gaia was probably one of the first labels to come up with novelty heels last year and this summer the French label Jacquemus is also tagging along this trend. I call them novelty heels as they break the traditional shape of a heel; they aren't necessarily translucent or glittered but their shape makes the overall shoe stand out. This isn't a trend that everyone will jump on and I wouldn't recommend to buy into mass produced shoes with novelty heels as you will probably only wear them twice and throw them to a donation centre... Be mindful before getting into a trendy style. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-5LZiRtp9RKZdmMj0RywTrxY2znwROFB_qbEWVDqv0AzxwBhgnCk4A_s5dE_ba1UmkV2827B3HCYTD1v1UN-UK7o_duSnYrd3N31vT1wlZNdgjGVovIty0TaMAUp3PZjHnPvKRR9dB0Y/s1600/novelthe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-5LZiRtp9RKZdmMj0RywTrxY2znwROFB_qbEWVDqv0AzxwBhgnCk4A_s5dE_ba1UmkV2827B3HCYTD1v1UN-UK7o_duSnYrd3N31vT1wlZNdgjGVovIty0TaMAUp3PZjHnPvKRR9dB0Y/s1600/novelthe.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Citrus Shades </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bright days are coming ahead with summer and zesty shades are trending for this season. Colorful bright shoes are taking over this summer. Orange, yellow and green shades have been brought back for summer by countless of labels. From sneakers to heeled sandals anything with bright colors will be trending this summer. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibewfOCJp1sODHvR_CoZ8awF8Cli-ll23_LdoayGizbicaMggBm-XDm5W3eX-O6bkUGfs8ZIEqdp1zDM6Z_fI-yY1wgJefLzf9N6Es10-qTtGIf1Sh3MB8JV9fhLZPPO0iCd3j9CHpRhY/s1600/citrus.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibewfOCJp1sODHvR_CoZ8awF8Cli-ll23_LdoayGizbicaMggBm-XDm5W3eX-O6bkUGfs8ZIEqdp1zDM6Z_fI-yY1wgJefLzf9N6Es10-qTtGIf1Sh3MB8JV9fhLZPPO0iCd3j9CHpRhY/s1600/citrus.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
Rubber Platform Sneaker</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Put aside dad sneakers because this summer it's all about owning a pair of thick rubber platform sneakers. Vans and converse had already introduced platform versions of their classic sneakers a few seasons ago but this summer it seems the trend is to have the vulcanized rubber tape overlapping the upper that creates an illusion of an even thicker sole. I'm really digging this trend and these sneakers look like they can nicely be brought into fall! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Although we're unable to go out to brunch right now we need to believe that brighter days await for us and that we will soon be able to enjoy brunching again! Here are my personal TOP favourite places to brunch in Montreal. There are countless of places to brunch in Montreal but for me what matters the most when you go out for brunching is good service, tasty food and an enjoyable space. All of these places below are uniquely amazing and worth trying once we are able to gather for brunches again! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love Matcha so when I heard that we had a Matcha bar in Montreal, I was immediately hooked! I personally kind of miss their Westmount location as it was more peaceful and less crowded than their new location in downtown but I still very much enjoy their tasty food! It's a perfect spot to meet up with a friend and stroll in downtown after for some shopping therapy. My personal favourite drink is their refreshing Matcha lemonade and I very much enjoy their smoked salmon toasts and acaï bowl! It's a really cute spot to hang out with the girls on the weekend! <br />
<h2>

if you're into trying different types of latte this is a place to explore! Barley has an amazing spacious location and an incredible menu from <span class="ILfuVd"><span class="e24Kjd">Mediterranean</span></span> style plates to Matcha pancakes and smoothie bowls. Did I mention that they're pet friendly? I always see a cute puppy when I go :) It's simply a great place to unwind and treat yourself to a delicious cereal latte! It's also located in a very nice area in Montreal and you can go take a look at some unique local shops. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<h2>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
This place is a classic in Montreal and if you haven't been then you're definitely missing out! Beauty's is a classic deli spot with timeless breakfast dishes that are simply delicious. Fluffy pancakes, smoke salmon with Montreal bagels and decadent milkshakes! Beauty's is located in the Plateau area and is also quite near the Mount Royal park, lots of places to visit after brunching! <br />
<br />
<h2>
Fabergé</h2>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
This place doesn't seem to be very "Instagram" popular but their food is very delicious and if you're a bit of a geek like me you'll appreciate watching some Adventure Time in their restaurant! I really recommend to try their chicken and waffles! It's a great place to meet up with friends as their menu offers a variety of dishes that will surely please any picky eater! Located in the Mile End it offers many cute spots to shop after brunching and buy more bagels at Fairmount Bagels or St-Viateur Bagels :)<br />

Some might say they're copies while others might say they are very good dupes... it's all debatable! Some of these items are very fast trends and let's be real not everyone can afford expensive shoes and even then for some people the dupes are still pretty high priced. Now I'm always advocating for people to invest in key items especially in footwear as you can wear them season after season... but I'm also guilty of falling into these temporary trends and let's be honest I don't want to break my bank account for a seasonal trend. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsJLhxTMjZS-bUd96TA-YRJaIlNP7_SsoQnK_T-SMcJEp8UyZx39EMqJx-XHZ6cZ83McTyvStOWv3QxsdF3UpwtRv6ueOioxBoQ6U7V3yBCBTllz5jIkuohA0Kgk3O7zrc9uFrQqhigKE/s1600/Untitled-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="961" data-original-width="1600" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsJLhxTMjZS-bUd96TA-YRJaIlNP7_SsoQnK_T-SMcJEp8UyZx39EMqJx-XHZ6cZ83McTyvStOWv3QxsdF3UpwtRv6ueOioxBoQ6U7V3yBCBTllz5jIkuohA0Kgk3O7zrc9uFrQqhigKE/s640/Untitled-2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lug soles have become THE biggest trend for this fall/winter and they will most likely continue into next fall. Here is a clear example of an outsole that might come from the supplier but they are produced for different brands... they are very similar and showcase the same trend of hiker influence. The main difference is the price, Gianni retails for 530$ and the boot from Intervalle retails at 170$.<br />
I do believe you're getting pretty good quality for a good price at the Intervalle because it's all leather and made in Portugal. I also appreciate how they have interpreted their own version of what other higher end brands are doing with the heavy lug soles such as Prada, The Row and Jil Sander.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnTC-0_9h3eGjHQwHMpoTOsSMAJt8x_kkR_FqAqeRwC9_-j-TeURlAiuwf_Ku4sAQ9cBfWsb4K67KLouEnwNb3JdEBT7OPUCJ0s_UD-xyBJdZxI3Ocvcdl-tF2R1FGvaxqe6oGgE7uWNA/s1600/Untitled-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="961" data-original-width="1600" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnTC-0_9h3eGjHQwHMpoTOsSMAJt8x_kkR_FqAqeRwC9_-j-TeURlAiuwf_Ku4sAQ9cBfWsb4K67KLouEnwNb3JdEBT7OPUCJ0s_UD-xyBJdZxI3Ocvcdl-tF2R1FGvaxqe6oGgE7uWNA/s640/Untitled-1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I actually noticed the Converse style before seeing that Proenza had a similar sneaker boot style. They're both similar with slight differences and I personally prefer the Converse sneaker boot not only because the price tag is reasonable at 150$ but also because it's made of GoreTex Leather making it waterproof and much more weather proof than the linen version from Proenza which retails at a whopping 775$...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Y_yAjam7ap0aim5XxLtVTvGHKZi8qFhZRZ-s3JBvG6H1AAvfodFKXybA1FqvpS0bjrUccBAzlFCy75w8tfFWtL7ZlUn37J9oPXAfdlcIlUUzNvIq-xEVbzL9ZSYimd0IxQgSVR7yAxM/s1600/Untitled-5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="961" data-original-width="1600" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Y_yAjam7ap0aim5XxLtVTvGHKZi8qFhZRZ-s3JBvG6H1AAvfodFKXybA1FqvpS0bjrUccBAzlFCy75w8tfFWtL7ZlUn37J9oPXAfdlcIlUUzNvIq-xEVbzL9ZSYimd0IxQgSVR7yAxM/s640/Untitled-5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
Now these Bottega Veneta have become highly coveted by everyone because all the celebrities are wearing them but the hefty price tag of 1325$ isn't something everyone can splurge on. Now Jeffrey Campbell came out with their own version which isn't exactly the same but we can agree the inspiration is drawn from Bottega.<br />
<br />
I wanted to show some examples of shoes that are inspired by higher end brands, it's never fun to get copied and have someone else dumb it down to a cheaper option but at the same time nobody is reinventing the wheel in fashion and sometimes I personally believe it's unfair to think that only wealthy people should be able to wear fashionable items... it's a sensitive topic in fashion but at the end of the day fashion isn't saving the planet and it should simply be fun and priced reasonably, don't you think?<br />

I wanted to take a look back into some of the most memorable footwear trends that have marked this past decade. These are the top 10 trends that made the cut but I'm sure there are many more other trends that could be remembered in these past 10 years. Some of these trends are not the best and I'm glad we have moved onto better things whereas some are still lingering into this new decade. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuzl4uJj8_IG0jM2O3rqZ7Cnv7XwHcKOn1p_0FMtIGe3vCB6iLRWhGODjSZiRU5XqKZAGDhGhmmlhavYRRoGJyqbEulYBUtcw8RbA1iaU2nq7YkcWBghmT8UMtN7E95ooCEXEzcgvVI-U/s1600/2010mm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuzl4uJj8_IG0jM2O3rqZ7Cnv7XwHcKOn1p_0FMtIGe3vCB6iLRWhGODjSZiRU5XqKZAGDhGhmmlhavYRRoGJyqbEulYBUtcw8RbA1iaU2nq7YkcWBghmT8UMtN7E95ooCEXEzcgvVI-U/s1600/2010mm.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2010 - Weird Shoes</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I honestly don't have recollection of what happened in footwear during 2010... All I remember is seeing all of these shoes trying to be very stylish and futuristic... A lot of platform shoes and I also recall seeing many girls wearing these hidden platform heels that made them have super long legs. I cannot recall a memorable shoe style that marked 2010... I just remember seeing weird shoes on runway and nothing very cohesive... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZn2cPp0LdLDNn50T4CAgiQZWsDftmQzr1XU3VfcuoyHF46wQW0QYIKXW8t7Vo8KytBVW1wfTHg9_uhvRLuNBpXzHiHnAOpiwcFrFKFrW5VviBtsC3565wkD4k6wWybE_nAIottcnBGC0/s1600/2011_trends.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZn2cPp0LdLDNn50T4CAgiQZWsDftmQzr1XU3VfcuoyHF46wQW0QYIKXW8t7Vo8KytBVW1wfTHg9_uhvRLuNBpXzHiHnAOpiwcFrFKFrW5VviBtsC3565wkD4k6wWybE_nAIottcnBGC0/s1600/2011_trends.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2011 - Jeffrey Campbell Lita's Platform Heels </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These came around the time that Lady Gaga was THE celebrity to follow for fashion trends. Lady Gage use to wear these massive heels that would not only give her height but also an outstanding stylish presence. The Lita's became quite a statement piece and most girls were buying them from Nasty Gal (back when their business was fruitful). These shoes were not cheap... I remember paying over 200$ for mine which was quite a hefty sum for a 21 year old with a part time job. Whoever wore these shoes wanted to be seen and wanted everybody to know that they knew about fashion trends. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigHRvAFOfHLhF8sFYscvAvhnHe9RqKOFqTtWBEvDfqxlBbV9n2iL1axyuonLizisGJ8lAz7Y-wSw-czvObU-fOrhvOraydZjD7WyWXgdf-FgN0PYO6sfusxW4wufMtuyPcU1IPcAv3a2w/s1600/2012_trends.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigHRvAFOfHLhF8sFYscvAvhnHe9RqKOFqTtWBEvDfqxlBbV9n2iL1axyuonLizisGJ8lAz7Y-wSw-czvObU-fOrhvOraydZjD7WyWXgdf-FgN0PYO6sfusxW4wufMtuyPcU1IPcAv3a2w/s1600/2012_trends.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2012 - Isabel Marant, Wedge Sneakers </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When these wedge sneakers first came out they became the sensation of the year. They literally gave women some height without compromising their style. However, it all spiraled out of control and became a quite tacky footwear style when other brands started to make knock off versions of the original design. I don't understand how some fast fashion footwear brands still carry wedge sneakers in their collection... it's absolutely horrendous. Part of me does believe that these original Isabel Marant wedge sneakers might make a come back! </div>
<br />

<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2013 - Balenciaga Cut Out Boots </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These boots were seen on every single influencer that was caught in the streets of New York or Paris for fashion week. These chunky buckles gave a grungy rebellious look that everyone wanted to take part of. They had a very unique style and I'm sure to this day there are still some girls rocking these boots. </div>

2014 - Chloe Stud Boots </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When these came out so many footwear brands came out with their own version of them or they would literally knock them off. I remember getting myself a pair of Minelli that resembled these as I couldn't and still can't afford these Chloe boots. These boots have become a staple in their collection and can still be purchased at many luxury retailers. </div>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2015 - Gucci Fuzzy Slide </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In general any type of mule or slide was THE style of the year. However, these Gucci fur slides became very famous and coveted by any fashion enthusiast. I remember taking part in this trend but obviously couldn't afford the real deal so I settled for a similar style from Aldo. These fuzzy slide trend lasted about a year and since then they haven't made a comeback. Although I do think a pair of regular Gucci slides are always a classic style to have in your shoe collection (if you can afford them). </div>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2016 - Vans Sneakers </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Around this time it became fashionable for women to wear sneakers and may I say that it was blessing! Vans have been around for decades but in the past few years it has become of a fashion statement. They are generally affordable and give your outfit a relaxed cool feeling. I own about 4 or 5 pairs of vans and I always get excited when they come up with special edition collections such as their Charlie Brown collection and their most recent collection featuring Harry Potter. I love vans and I'm glad that this trend has kept going on until today! </div>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2017 - Clear Shoes </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
From Yeezy to Jeffrey Campbell, these transparent plastic shoes were a big hit in 2017. I deeply dislike these shoes as they are the WORST shoes to wear and invest in...They don't let your feet breathe, they fog up, your feet look yellow because of the blood pressure...and on top of all that they are made of PVC. For those that don't know PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) it's a plastic that contains dangerous chemicals such as <span class="ILfuVd NA6bn"><span class="e24Kjd">phthalates, lead, cadmium, and/or organotins, which can be toxic. It should be illegal to produce these shoes.. and I don't understand how some people believe this trend is still relevant now. </span></span></div>
<br />

<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2018 - Balenciaga Dad Sneakers</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Dad sneakers were already a trend in 2017 for men but in 2018 it really became a statement trend for women. I never really got into this trend as it felt a bit too cartoon like and I didn't feel like spending over 1000$ for a pair of Balenciaga sneakers that I knew wouldn't be a statement piece in the following years. I also didn't want to buy a knock off version at Zara or at Aldo so I opted to buy a pair of Tekno Nike sneakers which are functional sneakers and also quite stylish. These Tekno sneakers are super comfortable that I got myself two pairs in different colors. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2019 - Square Toe Shoe</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Square toe heels, sandals, boots, mules on and on... everything was about having a pair of square toe shoes. From By Far to Zara, they all came up with their own version of square toe shoes. I actually didn't get myself a pair because I didn't feel like buying kitten heels with square toe and it seemed difficult to find a pair with more of a block heel that I liked and felt had a reasonable price. I'm sure this trend will pass onto this summer in 2020 and more brands will do their own versions. </div>

<div align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">
It’s quite
unbelievable that 10 years have passed by and so much has changed in what feels
like so little time. As the new decade approaches I won’t deny that I’m a bit
scared of what the future awaits for me. I’ve identified myself very strongly
as a late 20’s young woman and I’ll soon be turning 30… it's quite a scary number
to be honest. Everyone keeps telling me it’s just another number yet I don’t feel that
same excitement I felt when I turned 10 or 20… I feel this strange pressure of
being in a certain place in my life which I’m far from being. Time after time
we are told not to compare ourselves and that we are not in some sort of life
race but I guess it would be unnatural not to question how come am I not where
I would like to be?… Anyways, I thought that it would be fun to go down memory
lane and look back at some of the "top" 10 events that have happened in my life in
the past 10 years! Please by no means this list isn't for bragging rights, just sharing some intimate moments online for fun! <o:p></o:p><br />

I earned 2 degrees in design and I'm proud of myself to have worked in both fields. In 2010, I graduated from Industrial design at Dawson College and in 2016 I graduated from Footwear Design at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). Both of my degrees are technical but in total it counts for 5 years of post high school education which I'm quite proud of! </div>

I moved to New York
City in 2014 for my studies and lived there for 2 years. Living in New York was a life time dream of mine and I’m very grateful
to have accomplished that very early in life. I hope to some day have the chance to move back to New York and experience more of an adult lifestyle versus student life. New York isn't an easy place to live in and it can feel like a lonely concrete jungle but if you make it in New York, you can make it anywhere! <o:p></o:p><br />

In 2017 my job in
footwear development brought me to travel to China and it was quite an
experience; I feel very fortunate to have traveled to China more than once
during these past years. It’s been an eye opening experience and it has shown me to appreciate other cultures. Although I never had the time to really explore China as a tourist, I did enjoy seeing more of the work lifestyle and visit factories. <o:p></o:p><br />

In 2018 I traveled to Tokyo by myself for a week and that was a life changing experience. I was coming out of a painful breakup and it simply allowed me to disconnect from Montreal. I think anybody that knows me, knows that I love birds... yes call me weird or unusual for having birds as pets but that's how I grew up.. My dad got me love birds for my 10th birthday and since then I was hooked on birds. My last love birds passed away back in 2012 and since then I didn't get a bird up until last summer in 2018 when I got Coco. He's a Quaker parrot and even though he can be annoying at times he's the most adorable creature that has come into my life. I love that little green ball :) He's so small yet so clever! He says more words than a toddler! <br />

<span style="background-color: white;"><span>I think I was single back in 2010, and I'm single now...but a couple of dating, relationships have happened in these past 10 years. I would say that I've had poor sense of judgment when it has come to love... I tend to believe that they love me as much as I do but I end up giving more of myself and in the process I end up losing myself... Two years ago I became single again and it has taking me time to love myself again. After multiple failed dating attempts, I'm learning that the one relationship that matters the most is with yourself. Whatever happens in life the only person you have to fall back on is yourself. I hope to continue to love myself and be kind to myself. </span></span><br />

<span style="background-color: white;">10 years ago I was ashamed to tell people that I was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder but it in the past few years it seems to be a trending topic to have anxiety. I've tried many things to get rid of it but I've also learned it's not something you can just brush it under the rug and pretend it's gone. It's an ongoing process and as much as it annoys me it's also a reminder to take care of myself. I'm still learning to train myself to meditate, to work out, to sleep well, to eat well, to seek medical help if needed; it's all a process. I've also learned to be more opened about my condition with friends and I've also learned not to let anxiety block me from doing what I've wanted. </span><br />

My style has evolved since 2010 and it still is but I'm glad not to feel this pressure of looking a certain way. I was quite insecure about my sense of style back in 2010 and it has taking me some time to understand what I like and also understand my body shape. I've learned not dress to impress and to simply wear what I like. I've learned to invest in key items in my closet instead of over spending on pieces that I'll purge three months later. I have a sweet spot for fashion but it's also the industry that I work in so I guess that justifies buying overpriced European shoes! Fashion is a walking art!<br />

</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Winter is far from being my favorite season but the cold weather justifies my lazy habits of staying indoors and it simply encourages me to be more self loving with body. Winter is very harsh on the body and mind, it can get quite depressing to come back from a long day of work and it's dark outside! I like to change up my beauty care routine in the winter as the cold weather dries up the skin and it's also another excuse to pamper myself ;)</div>

For the past couple of years I've been trying to step away from mainstream hair products which are undeniably less expensive but most likely contain harmful ingredients for the planet and the body. I really love Kevin Murphy products but I was recently introduced to Briogeo products and I'm loving this duo of Shampoo/Conditioner. It has this decadent smell of banana and coconut and it simply makes your mind travel to a tropical island! It has a nourishing blend that is very moisturizing, Briogeo is cruelty free, paraben free and is certified as a clean brand at Sephora. </div>

Chapped lips are not very sexy but it's very common for that to happen in winter because of the damn cold weather! I was gifted with fuller lips and when I have chapped lips it's very noticeable... I had heard many good reviews online about this night lip mask by this Korean brand Laneige and so far I'm loving it! It's very hydrating and works wonders! So far my lips have not drastically chapped but I do recommend to exfoliate your lips every now and then for even smoother lips. </div>

For the past two years my skin breaks out quite easily due to hormones and stress which is very difficult to control...I try to use very hydrating moisturizers as my skin can dry up with my cleansers to clear my skin and adding the harsh cold weather dries up my skin even more! I found this moisturizer by Youth to the People which is a cruelty free, vegan brand and it has hyaluronic acid which is very hydrating. So far it hasn't hindered more break outs and it seems to even out my skin tone. I would recommend it for sensitive skin. </div>

I like to keep my skin baby bottom soft and I'm always on the hunt for a body lotion that will do that without making me feel oily or buttered. I recently came across this amazing body lotion that is called " snowflake" by Lush. It has almond, cocoa butter and rosewater; it all smells amazing! Lush rarely disappoints me when it comes to body lotion because they have very moisturizing lotions that get soaked in, on top of that they're products are quite natural! </div>

I'm not a big fan of cold weather but I'm a sucker for boots and now is the time to let those boots shine for themselves. Every year new trends seem to come out and here are a few that I find are the ones to cover this season. Just FYI my personal favorite is the heavy lug sole boots, I'm so glad we can finally wear these! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This square toe trend has been passing through runways for quite some time but it took force over this summer and it's running through fall. It seems it will replace the pointy toe... Many designers have shown variations of the square toe, from platforms to low block heels. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is by far my favorite trend for this season... lug soles! I love love heavy soles and it's something reminiscent of menswear coming into women's wear. I really love the combination of these heavy soles with a dress blazer or mid length dresses. They are also quite handy for those slippery winter days. </div>

A pair of laced up boots is simply a classic, a must have! Every girl should a pair of this in their collection, from low heels to stiletto heels; a laced up boot is undeniably a must to have in fall. They go well with a light wash pair of jeans or a pencil dress with an oversized blazer. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Snake, croco and any kind of exotic print seems to have taken over this season. This trend can definitely be combined with another boot trend. I've seen many lug sole boots with black croco leather or mid shaft height boots full on snake! This trend is quite transitional and can be worn in early spring. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It seems like wearing high shaft boots or knee high boots is not a trend that seems to make a strong come back, however mid height boots are coming back and if I could afford myself a pair of these beauties by Jacquemus I would do so! </div>

I believe that a collective movement of small actions can create a bigger wave, which brings me to believe that by changing small habits in our lives can make a difference in the planet. Some people believe that being eco friendly is expensive but if you have the means to pay yourself a cellphone every month I'm sure you can invest on the well being of our environment. I'm sure that most of the actions that I'm writing about are things that you either have put into action or that you've heard of! These are very small habits that I try to stick to and that I find haven't been expensive options to implement on my every day! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
1.Use an Epilator </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's been a year since I switched from waxing to an epilator. I was a bit scared at first because it's quite noisy but the pain level is almost the same as waxing. If you've never waxed and you've always been shaving then it might be more of a painful transition. It's a bit of an investment as most epilators cost over 90$ but in the long run you'll be saving a lot! I've saved a lot of money using an epilator and it's much less wasteful than buying plastic rasors or creating waste with wax strips.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-A-JiqZXZUQyFXxoAV8r2hcMqY5toeMDeKweQHpnH0WOlyoupgNDs9dN1dhpZPiw8TZLrGJo8lhxrcxJTXHa6O9i9uN-AoNK9ADVwtWAOUOc_0dlq7XkWsCT-V3DLERYN1VduLWXvRDc/s1600/002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-A-JiqZXZUQyFXxoAV8r2hcMqY5toeMDeKweQHpnH0WOlyoupgNDs9dN1dhpZPiw8TZLrGJo8lhxrcxJTXHa6O9i9uN-AoNK9ADVwtWAOUOc_0dlq7XkWsCT-V3DLERYN1VduLWXvRDc/s1600/002.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
2. Bamboo toothbrush</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've been using bamboo toothbrushes for a few months now and I'm really loving them! I tried a couple of different brands and right now I'm using one that I've purchased from TAU organic grocery store and I'm really loving it! We throw away so many toothbrushes a year and using bamboo toothbrushes is a more sustainable option as they will breakdown with time versus plastic toothbrushes... AND they cost almost the same as regular toothbrush! <br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWNnNdAPstxwUJnGdi64S3COxxtMhVUgD9S8XMEj0Iv7jk2dMgvRCgDQfEf3FysXGnR1DvxbCJw0OubzycnNLDJfImc9ALdjiaWRSOs5obtdjDFeD3cJSa9xluCmWuBm6rCA9mJAmI5Bc/s1600/003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWNnNdAPstxwUJnGdi64S3COxxtMhVUgD9S8XMEj0Iv7jk2dMgvRCgDQfEf3FysXGnR1DvxbCJw0OubzycnNLDJfImc9ALdjiaWRSOs5obtdjDFeD3cJSa9xluCmWuBm6rCA9mJAmI5Bc/s1600/003.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
3. Solid Shampoo / Soap </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's been a couple of weeks since I've started to use a solid shampoo bar and it's been a smooth transition. I had already tried in the past a solid shampoo bar from Lush and this time I tried another one from Lush and I love the smell! It's a bit more squeaky clean compared to regular shampoo but once I add conditioner my hair is smooth again! Shampoo is a hair cleanser so to me it doesn't really make a difference what kind of shampoo you use as long it's free of sulfates, and parabens. I recently purchased another solid shampoo from "la maison lavande" and I can't wait to try as it smells decadent! I also use a soap bar as a body wash, however for handwash I'm still a big sucker for bottled soap... something with pumping soap...but you can always buy refills for the bottles! It's a bit trickier to buy refills for shampoo at least here in Montreal... these options can be available if you live in places like New York as they already have some stores with refill concepts.<br />

<h3 style="text-align: center;">
4. Travel mug </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last year I invested in a really good travel mug, it was pricier but it's very insulating! It keeps my tea warm all morning and it also works for cold drinks. I got mine at "home and hardware" it's a tiny store on Sherbrooke Street in Montreal and it's from the brand CORKCICLE, they have a huge selection of travel mugs and this store also carries SWELL bottles. It's easy to keep one in the purse or in the car for any take out places, at Starbucks you even get a discount for bringing your own mug!<br />
<br />

<h3 style="text-align: center;">
5. Reusable Cotton Pads </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Removing makeup is a big of a skincare routine, well in my opinion it should be! I haven't implemented this habit into my routine yet because I keep forgetting about ordering these reusable cotton pads but it's definitely in my to do list! It's a shame that they're not sold in stores (at least I haven't seen them) I will be ordering from the link down below! This website also offers many organic, natural derived products and many goodies that promote an eco friendly lifestyle!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I tend to change up my skincare routine from time to time and it's been challenging to find something that works well for my skin as it's been quite rebellious for a while now...Ever since I stopped taking birth control my skin decided to break out :/...It's been hard to find products that work for my type of skin as only some areas seem to be more problematic. So far these are the products that have in a way calm down my skin and I also have other products which I didn't include in this list that specially target my breakouts.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
1. Drunk Elephant Cleansing Balm </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My first impression of this product wasn't the best.. It felt hard and difficult to melt.. It still is but I've noticed that it works better with warm water. I really like the spoon that has a magnetic dot which keeps it in place. It removes most of my waterproof mascara and it's quite gentle, I also love that it's not heavily perfumed. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
2. Clean and Clear Eye Makeup Remover</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a staple in my routine, I believe I've been using it since I was in college. This makeup remover works wonders for mascara and isn't harsh, and it's also affordable!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
3. Kater Sommerville Eradikate Daily Cleanser </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really love this brand and I find it's been helping with my acne spots. It has helped to keep my skin balanced and I love that it removes all of my makeup. My skin feels ultra clean after I've used it. It's a bit pricey but it lasts a long time!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
4. Breath of Fresh Air - Toner - Lush </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This toner has been part of my life for at least 4 or 5 years and I'm not going to change that! I love how it makes my skin feel tight and it makes me feel like my pores are all closed! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
5. Tatcha Essence</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This product has really helped my skin and I've noticed a difference with my problematic areas. It's quite expensive but it's been very helpful, and I hope it will last! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
6. Herbivore Pink Cloud Moisturizer</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've been using this moisturizer for quite some time, and it's very gentle for my type of skin. I also really love that it dries very fast and it can be used both during winter and summer time. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
7. Mario Badescu Rosewater Facial Spray</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love love this facial spray, I find that it just seals my skincare routine. I also really enjoy the smell! i use it at night at the very end of my routine but I also use it in the morning after I've finished my makeup. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
8. Sephora Lip Balm </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've realized it's definitely not worth spending over 10$ on a lip balm...I love these Sephora lip balms, they do the job and taste great! I have so many of them for every season as they always come up with different flavors. </div>

It took a very very long time for summer to kick in (here in Montreal) it's finally getting warmer and the days are feeling slightly longer. I think we can finally start wearing sandals without fearing that our toes will freeze! There are many more trends for sandals (than only 5) but these are the ones that have caught my eye and that I will probably be wearing throughout this season. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
1. Square Toe Open Toe Sandals</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This summer is all about square toes... it's all about bringing back the good old 90's back in style! I love love these mules from Dear Frances, if I could splurge on these babies I would! I personally really love this trend on low block heels, I just find they are much more comfortable to walk with and they are more timeless... because with kitten heels it really defines it as a 90's sandal whereas with a block heel it makes a bit more modern. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpSni2MsqGfn-C-1tmTiiyCwJgxza8Ji_j13bFxsipC2y18z5J5f6qjUMZQOG0tOq51ZJWRGnWL5kyk20p_G5xoMFnWZPifVQssONWwUWDeSo-rVsIyZM8nJam4DqM5xI0eZm4Vg3wUPs/s1600/001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1143" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpSni2MsqGfn-C-1tmTiiyCwJgxza8Ji_j13bFxsipC2y18z5J5f6qjUMZQOG0tOq51ZJWRGnWL5kyk20p_G5xoMFnWZPifVQssONWwUWDeSo-rVsIyZM8nJam4DqM5xI0eZm4Vg3wUPs/s1600/001.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2. Square Toe Strappy Heeled Sandals </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yes I know... again with the square toe! What can I say... square toe will make its way back on various sandal heel heights... but I've noticed that many designer and brands have done their own version of a strappy heel sandal which is great for an evening night out or a summer wedding. I'm also really loving how some of these brands are playing a lot with the heel shape... some have round heels while others go for a classic sleek stiletto shape. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4DHPdzKtBtI_jdy4ut5NsUShuKklBvt1XWBNtpqZbp8AYt_2f3ITSsHf-uIowCPZkZYA1PuS6fO3wkLT9Nk5xPX2RI-s0pMjgfBrc5Gj7rxHpmtNx7mYhdFdhcSqqoaY98RPlTFTh8SA/s1600/002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1143" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4DHPdzKtBtI_jdy4ut5NsUShuKklBvt1XWBNtpqZbp8AYt_2f3ITSsHf-uIowCPZkZYA1PuS6fO3wkLT9Nk5xPX2RI-s0pMjgfBrc5Gj7rxHpmtNx7mYhdFdhcSqqoaY98RPlTFTh8SA/s1600/002.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
3. Open Toe Pointy Sandal </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm not a huge fan of this toe shape because it's very unnatural... more unnatural than square toe shape... But I do appreciate the way it looks on certain women and how they can really make it work with their style. I personally would probably get the flat version (the image on the top right) as the ones created by <i>"Something Navy"</i> (which are available in Nordstrom). I don't think this suits everyone but they look pretty nice if styled properly. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQKThuUyldluonvG_pBTFR86M6PbVR5uISQJT02aDtQ9jIKkaWDRyU6NGzdo-L2M-jic-qy5I8DMinm4mUgSRnztNY6IEg0wqc9ioZks5ao0xGXUdeNywPYPJ7hH3exnZaQp6dxkn_Yec/s1600/003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1050" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQKThuUyldluonvG_pBTFR86M6PbVR5uISQJT02aDtQ9jIKkaWDRyU6NGzdo-L2M-jic-qy5I8DMinm4mUgSRnztNY6IEg0wqc9ioZks5ao0xGXUdeNywPYPJ7hH3exnZaQp6dxkn_Yec/s1600/003.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
4. Strappy Flat Sandal </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These are a classic and it seems like anything stappy is making a comeback this summer. I'm sure you already have a pair of these in your closet and if you don't they are a must because they are always handy! They are very versatile and easy to combine... with a jumpsuit, culotte pants or flowy skirts. Never underestimate a classic strappy flat sandal! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-9A3TT6M6TpngmsiVzKq80rJTbHVXhGqFMRsGi0fZgO2lieRUDatOzBjJAPpRuaq3nmnyLI5zPv1dMcygWKDPqIu-BSG5ebEnXf5Nnh2nRbJCXQ1MBC5auyQ6clLQN4LRO0KqOtPOUs0/s1600/004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1050" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-9A3TT6M6TpngmsiVzKq80rJTbHVXhGqFMRsGi0fZgO2lieRUDatOzBjJAPpRuaq3nmnyLI5zPv1dMcygWKDPqIu-BSG5ebEnXf5Nnh2nRbJCXQ1MBC5auyQ6clLQN4LRO0KqOtPOUs0/s1600/004.jpg" /></a></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
5. Birkenstocks! </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know that some people genuilely hate Birkenstocks and don't get the hype around these sandals which is fine but in my case I don't have anything against them and in fact I find them pretty comfortable... For the past couple of years, Birkenstocks have become a staple for the summer and the brand comes up with new materials, patterns and collabs (in case you can afford a Valentino X Birkenstock) I really love the pair of Birkenstocks that I have! They are a bit pricier but the quality is very decent and they last more than summer if you rotate with other shoes... if you wear them every day for an entire summer they might not last that long... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Canadian artist, Geneviève Racette released a new album on May 24th, titled <span style="font-size: large;"><b>"<i>No Water, No Flowers</i>"</b></span>. Native to Montreal, the language barrier between English and French has never been issue to Geneviève and this is beautifully translated on her album as it seamlessly flows between both languages. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Her album makes you travel through different emotions and the lyrics are heartfelt with profound messages of love, birth, growth and grief. A song that pinched my heart is called "Magnetic Love" as it talks about a recurrent love that keeps pulling you towards someone that is not meant to be. The piano notes on this song are beautifully harmonized with her soothing voice. Every song on this album is a story on its own and hearing it all together at once is absolutely breathtaking. I've heard this album countless of times since last Friday and I had chills during the entire performance at the album release night in Sala Rossa. Her voice and music is refreshing and I encourage you to check her full
album in the link below. If you would like to know more about her future
shows or get to know her a bit better, please visit her Facebook or Instagram in the links below. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I feel very fortunate to personally know Geneviève and to share fond memories together since our childhood. I admire her for staying grounded in her values and empowering other women in the music industry. She has come a long way and this album is barely scratching the surface of something much bigger that awaits for her as I'm certain that she will continue to fascinate us with groundbreaking music. </div>

As much as I love fashion there are many trends that I completely wish would never happen. These are some of the trends that I don't understand why they are "in" and I hope they go out by the back door really soon... Please don't spend your savings on these trends as they are very fast fashion and not worth making room in your closet for. </div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
1. Pearl Hair Clips </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If I see another girl posting a selfie on Instagram showing off her oversized pearl hair clip I will flip out! I don't understand how this trend came around and why would anyone want to have an oversize hair clip on their head... I just find it distasteful and too generic... Not worth the hype<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8atd5XfqfcVxHHbgT7naVcL46SorQ8ufRUB8PKwOsojGYooEmbGr7ZPy8zjOlQcXlIqS8k-AjSgmlsrDeg1e6ic91jmrnEQ3dRgAFeqZLKj4VwKyG7cxLiNOZf_Xb6UHLYouUEheTVDU/s1600/001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8atd5XfqfcVxHHbgT7naVcL46SorQ8ufRUB8PKwOsojGYooEmbGr7ZPy8zjOlQcXlIqS8k-AjSgmlsrDeg1e6ic91jmrnEQ3dRgAFeqZLKj4VwKyG7cxLiNOZf_Xb6UHLYouUEheTVDU/s1600/001.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
2. 90's chokers </h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These truly made a comeback last summer and I don't understand why this trend is still lingering onto this spring... If you were not a teenager in the 90's why would you purchase one now... This trend was cute last summer but now it's just old... like actually old.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCMgWs1qhwKvd-kTAIcoXuluTEWa1UTgj-9GgqVJLPo4-YI44eyEywmgFaCWVrf6S9e-Znkw0xWM73PWK4CsKV0w-Iug1BbW22wi3br6uxhDIal9YfWXzezWupFoptk8QWNuWCzRFM4oI/s1600/002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCMgWs1qhwKvd-kTAIcoXuluTEWa1UTgj-9GgqVJLPo4-YI44eyEywmgFaCWVrf6S9e-Znkw0xWM73PWK4CsKV0w-Iug1BbW22wi3br6uxhDIal9YfWXzezWupFoptk8QWNuWCzRFM4oI/s1600/002.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
3. Neon...</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've never been a fan of neon... because it hurts my eyes! If you're not an aerobics teacher from the 80's why should you own a pair of neon biker shorts... really? Why?!? Neon colors were only meant to be functional colors to warn something... not to alarm people of your poor fashion taste..They simply attract the wrong attention...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3OUfMpODQekx5D3GSNHEOOr-mg2i2Gyh7-qzQhbP-4hUdZMX8_lAYL4Ww3CQuZUzxfmVG_hIYXXbqHSHyf9PCeMtbGYIAdsF8JlkcQpv9FdrLwZrJUQjiqyr9WqaAuYPbT20ZCZLDAN8/s1600/005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3OUfMpODQekx5D3GSNHEOOr-mg2i2Gyh7-qzQhbP-4hUdZMX8_lAYL4Ww3CQuZUzxfmVG_hIYXXbqHSHyf9PCeMtbGYIAdsF8JlkcQpv9FdrLwZrJUQjiqyr9WqaAuYPbT20ZCZLDAN8/s1600/005.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
4. Dad Sneakers... Ugly Sneakers</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These dad sneakers or ugly sneakers were trending last summer...but they shouldn't have a comeback this spring... please use them for gardening or give them away to salvation army but don't wear them proudly around the city as if you're the next trend setter... It's not worth the money! The only acceptable "chunky" sneakers that are worth getting are the Nike Tekno as they are actually comfortable and worth the price. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwPhFUlIYkgHDVMeDSBGX3SexqQnx_GEoxggXfW9Z_ugGxtG0bsX0QsXX-AR2yNRIjL9pPQmSUL0SjT5SoaWL3Z7BCwQMG7lt9xwKd8jSAH7WuJQQeQW5-e9DRY9RkcWZouIGUh9Z_keU/s1600/003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwPhFUlIYkgHDVMeDSBGX3SexqQnx_GEoxggXfW9Z_ugGxtG0bsX0QsXX-AR2yNRIjL9pPQmSUL0SjT5SoaWL3Z7BCwQMG7lt9xwKd8jSAH7WuJQQeQW5-e9DRY9RkcWZouIGUh9Z_keU/s1600/003.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<h2>
5. Lucite Shoes...</h2>
PVC shoes.... lucite shoes... see through pumps whatever you may call them they are all passé...Last year this was cool because Kim Kardashian was rocking her yeezy see through pumps but now it's totally not worth the pain or the bad odor or the ugly feet...PVC shoes are terrible for your feet and for the environment.... Your feet look all yellow and foggy... Please let your feet breathe this summer!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

If you've clicked the link to read a deep article on my love life than I'm sorry to deceive you...My new love for a while now has been my parrot! To celebrate Valentines, and since it's been a while that I've published... I thought it would be a great time to share my love story with Coco! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I met him this summer, and I instantly fell in love with this little green ball. He was 3 months old, and I would visit him every week until he was strong enough to bring him home. When I first started telling people that I got a parrot, I had many weird looks.. Apparently having a bird isn't common... I love dogs, not so much cats but why not have a bird as a pet! I've always loved birds, they are quite underestimated by people. Birds are very curious, intuitive and sociable creatures...They are the closest animals related to dinosaurs! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Coco is a Quaker parrot, and he has the ability to talk. So far he has learned at least 30 words and he is not even a year old. He is very playful, docile, and enjoys being part of the conversation. Unlike other birds he doesn't sing much, he mainly chit chats throughout the day, and screams to warn or when he's scared. Hopefully he will live up to 18 -20 years, and will endure my lifestyle ;) Getting a parrot or any pet is big commitment, and I take that responsibility very seriously. If you don't have time for a pet, please don't get one! Coco requires time, and a lot of attention. He is still in training mode so it's important for me spend valuable time with him. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anyways he is absolutely adorable, I'm so happy that he's part of my life. You can see some of our adventures on Instagram :) </div>

Last year I posted a similar article, and I actually enjoyed writing that post as it also served as a reminder of all the memorable things that I did or happened to me (some not so glamorous as others)! So I decided to do this again, and once again you'll get the chance to creep into my life by reading the most memorable moments in my life this year. Some of these events are not milestones but simply events that marked my year, and as meaningless as they might seem to some people they were memorable to me! </div>
<br />
<h2>
1. Going to Tokyo! </h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Visiting Tokyo was a surreal experience, and probably THE best trip I've had up until now. Traveling alone to Japan was a bit scary but it made me realize that I'm capable of so much on my own. It was a beautiful experience to explore the city, and get a glimpse of their culture. Japan definitely took a piece of my heart, and I'll go back when I get a chance! <br />

<h2>
2. Going to Mexico! </h2>
My sister believes the beach heals everything, and I might think she's right. I really needed some beach therapy, and being in Mexico for a week was amazing. It had been a while since I had been to a family vacation, and it simply felt great to relax under the sun with loved ones. It felt amazing to unwind, and recharge energy by the ocean. </div>

<h2>
3. Naked in Tokyo </h2>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
During my visit to Japan, I had a couple of things that I wanted to check off my bucket list. One of them was to experience an Onsen also known as a hot spring. Due to Japan's volcanic activity it has become one of the best places in the world to mellow out in a hot spring. It's similar to an occidental spa but you're fully naked, (men and women are in separate areas) there are some common areas but they provide a robe, and towels. I won't deny that it was a bit intimidating to be fully naked, and to be surrounded by other Japanese women but after some time I just got use to it. No one stares and everyone is just relaxing; it was quite wonderful. <br />

<h2>
4. Bird Lady </h2>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For a while I wanted to get a pet, and I've always had a fascination for birds so this summer I decided to get a parrot! Bringing Coco into my life has been a real blessing. He's the cutest Quaker parrot, and he brings so much joy to my home. A lot of people have asked me "why not a dog or cat?" well I just really love birds, and birds are pretty cool; I mean Coco can talk! Almost every week he's learning a new word, and he simply melted my heart when he said " I love you" :)<br />

<h2>
5. Doctor Visit in China</h2>
A not so glamorous moment this year was when I had to visit a clinic in China during a work trip because my stomach was very upset. I'm very fortunate to have amazing coworkers in China that were kind enough to take me to a foreigner's clinic, and I was attended quite promptly. To my own surprise the doctor was from South America, and I was telling him about my symptoms in Spanish! This was probably the most random moment of the year!<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I got to visit Disney sea in Tokyo!!! I feel like this article should have been named "top things that I did in Japan!" I'm a huge Disney fan, I'm a real kid at heart, and going to Disney sea in Japan was absolutely amazing. It was really fun to do all the rides, and eat delicious Disney food! I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I really find Disney food very delicious! Visiting Disney was probably THE best day of 2018, it was truly magical!</div>

<h2>
7. Getting back into the Groove </h2>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I've always felt the need to have some music in the background to function at work but this year I've really made an effort to find new artists or revisit old songs to make my play list. I've discovered new artists such as Lennon Stella whom many already know but she was new to my repertoire, and Charlotte Lawrence, Sigrid, Anne-Marie, Leon, Carla Morrison, CYN, Mon Laferte, and many more. Their music is creative, and very refreshing to listen; I encourage everyone to check them out!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<h2>
8. Beauty Fail</h2>
This fall I decided to try "lash lift" I was very curious to see how it worked but also slightly worried as I've never done anything to my face (aesthetically as in lash extensions, micro blading, fillers etc). The experience itself was fine, and the lash lift lasted about 3 weeks but after some time the lashes looked tangled... I wasn't very happy with that look. I wasn't sure if I had to get them retouched or just let time pass... After 3 months my lashes are back to normality, and I don't think I will try it again! Major beauty fail!<br />
<br />
<br />
<h2>
9. Awkward moment </h2>
Being single has helped me to clear my head, and give myself time to heal but I've also experienced awkward moments with the fellows. Earlier this year I went to get a massage to relax, and kick back but little did I know that I would be asked out on a date while laying naked on a massage bed. The male masseuse had never heard of professional boundaries, and instead of feeling relaxed I came out feeling harassed; it was a very uncomfortable situation. I'm definitely never going back there! <br />
<br />
<h2>
10. Wearing Shorts </h2>
<br />
I always felt self conscious of my legs but this summer I decided to just give them another chance. I started by wearing my first pair of shorts at Disney in Tokyo, and I got another pair for my trip to Mexico, and by the end of the summer I had 3 solid pair of Levi's shorts! I'm now obsessed with denim shorts, and I'll get some more for this upcoming summer!<br />

<br /></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrd4jV_eQ9WcIE6mHscxH0SwUhVRHbdxRkckISny5iItkUkq6NewwJI_nxpIf9FgvNweHZjEwYSug1GY8WXkOmIVsyeNVZfoFS0mOwyzyYZ2nio_ptb0ZXxIYj0Hz53CyCI3TlUleZycw/s1600/001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrd4jV_eQ9WcIE6mHscxH0SwUhVRHbdxRkckISny5iItkUkq6NewwJI_nxpIf9FgvNweHZjEwYSug1GY8WXkOmIVsyeNVZfoFS0mOwyzyYZ2nio_ptb0ZXxIYj0Hz53CyCI3TlUleZycw/s1600/001.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm pretty happy that talking about birth control has become more of an open discussion whereas back when I was in high school it seemed like being on the pill was the "only" viable option. Most women of my age have used birth control pills at least once and some have been on the pill for several years. I personally was on birth control pills for over 4 years and I did notice the effects it had on my health afterwards. I wanted to share my personal experience as I hope this helps raise awareness on other birth control methods that are less invasive on the body. Here are some of the symptoms I felt when I went I decided to quit the pill. These symptoms may vary but nevertheless most women have experienced side effects from being on the pill and or quitting the pill.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtDtiLlLgZ5ltpcjvq6PeP3WSWfGV5mrv-VpzulX87jZM6-fn6CLou2gLFVP1RdF2quU-Q0v8RvhF1rvoIQlh1TNO5X6PqT-meCyngGIf6LM_i9ZzBs8a-_vFc8EEIXBkBrHSazwl0KWI/s1600/002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtDtiLlLgZ5ltpcjvq6PeP3WSWfGV5mrv-VpzulX87jZM6-fn6CLou2gLFVP1RdF2quU-Q0v8RvhF1rvoIQlh1TNO5X6PqT-meCyngGIf6LM_i9ZzBs8a-_vFc8EEIXBkBrHSazwl0KWI/s1600/002.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Breakouts </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My skin has always been pretty good but when I went on the pill I rarely had any breakouts. Since quitting the pill my face breakouts a lot especially when I PMS and during my period. It's been a real struggle to find products that target my breakouts and a proper routine that suits my new skin as it seems to react very easily. A lot of girls take birth control because it does help to control acne but I personally don't think it's healthiest route to control skin problems. The pill really throws your hormones off balance because it may seem like it's helping your skin and regulating the menstrual cycle. However, it's not normal for a pill to make your body believe it's pregnant and that is the reason your body doesn't get pregnant. My personal recommendation is to search for other alternatives to treat acne, even for me it's been tempting to go back on the pill to get rid of my breakouts but it's not a healthy option.<br />
<br /></div>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Hair loss / Hair thinning </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've always had pretty healthy hair, and it still is but I've noticed it has thinned out a lot, and I shed much more than before. I'm quite lucky to naturally have a lot of hair so my hair loss isn't very noticeable but I've had to research products, and tricks to nurture my hair. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Insomnia </h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My anxiety has always caused me severe episodes of insomnia but I've kept it manageable enough that I can sleep at least 7 hours at night. However, when I went off the pill it became more difficult to fall asleep. I would fall asleep and all of a sudden wake up in the middle of the night wide awake. I've had to do sleep meditations and have an oil difuser to help. I also recommend to shower at night and spray some lavender scent on your pillow! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_GZMMdsqUgKmbY7yaY5o6i_MiVG-1Ib7xNCNiB20AqOquh-wi3-0v8Xy-fjKg4uuGIEGZEz0_ncl95ybBFsBw5-VMbK7IC32zwzneQ8e-99-h7DplXrIoe_MS54qHKjWNL8nqxhqtgH8/s1600/004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_GZMMdsqUgKmbY7yaY5o6i_MiVG-1Ib7xNCNiB20AqOquh-wi3-0v8Xy-fjKg4uuGIEGZEz0_ncl95ybBFsBw5-VMbK7IC32zwzneQ8e-99-h7DplXrIoe_MS54qHKjWNL8nqxhqtgH8/s1600/004.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Weight loss</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For whoever knows me personally (physically) they know that I'm quite petite but when I was on the pill I noticed that I gained weight without changing my diet. I wasn't very happy with my weight but I guess it was okay... When I stopped taking the pill I lost a lot of weight at least 10 lbs. I'm much happier with my current weight; I feel more like myself. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjHt6scNngGgHixnJ_6O6_l0G5seHHpz0S5qhEdtUPwseYz_U5Hoa3Ey8PdcvcOluJpsdRPXkP9H0A-bQYRZSFghPAu-sWngXDLnW_fYpBw6edL0g3RNEY0VB3qfyHQCNn7amDmItzwKM/s1600/006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjHt6scNngGgHixnJ_6O6_l0G5seHHpz0S5qhEdtUPwseYz_U5Hoa3Ey8PdcvcOluJpsdRPXkP9H0A-bQYRZSFghPAu-sWngXDLnW_fYpBw6edL0g3RNEY0VB3qfyHQCNn7amDmItzwKM/s1600/006.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Anxiety - Mood swings</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It was definitely an emotional adjustment to be off the pill but it's been over 4 months, and I feel much better with myself. I cried a lot the first month over anything, and everything but it's much better now. I also noticed that my anxiety has decreased, I still get panic attacks from time to time but I let it sink in, and I tell myself it will pass. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
All I can say is that birth control is NOT an option I would reconsider as I've noticed first hand the side effects it had on my body. I've spoken to other women in my circle of friends, and they also went through similar situations when they withdrew from the pill. Being on birth control seems like a pretty easy fix to a latex free sex but why should we as women have to put our bodies through this? Inform yourself before making the right choice of birth control that will suit your needs and lifestyle. I hope that other options become as popular as birth control pills for both men and women as I think it's time for men to also take some action. </div>

The other day as I was scrolling down Man Repeller's website, and I started to read an article about celebrating small victories in life. At first, I didn't quite understand but by the end of the article I could totally relate... It also made me reflect that I should be more grateful on the smaller events in life. I decided to share with you all the small victories that I try or that I'm trying to celebrate when they happen! I don't go bananas on these small victories but I acknowledge them, and that makes me a bit happier at the end of my day. I hope some of you can relate to my small victories, and take this weekend to be thankful, and grateful. So here are my 10 small victories that I'm grateful on a daily basis (when it happens)! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiruBfv9KQk3GA6jT3fjfRKC4EU-qFmehC4-dwN0jn2EotVNiTZtEyOMwLDhZklc09sw2QTpQnTER6XI15wPHgv4EWCuhN_5qgEtuIWPhniIiItKysrDSIsrDcf1bxxGknlJQsF57B9mVs/s1600/002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="423" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiruBfv9KQk3GA6jT3fjfRKC4EU-qFmehC4-dwN0jn2EotVNiTZtEyOMwLDhZklc09sw2QTpQnTER6XI15wPHgv4EWCuhN_5qgEtuIWPhniIiItKysrDSIsrDcf1bxxGknlJQsF57B9mVs/s1600/002.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
1. Having a good hair day </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think no one is ever entirely happy with their hair. We are always chopping, dying or literally killing our scalp for that "perfect" look we want... we end up spending loads of money on our hair.. But sometimes we have those days that our hair looks amazingly gorgeous, and when that happens the angels are literally singing! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
2. No upset tummy </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I suffer of general anxiety disorder, and it has messed up my digestive system which means my stomach is pretty sensitive. On top of that I'm also lactose intolerant... So when I go a day without stomaches or feeling queasy that makes me super happy!! I feel really blessed when I can go a day without discomfort during a work meeting!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2CP7fAyeNCCMbBztJsOpiWcWZoA3ZI0Vvn9E5TOwzoJyP1-THqe7tKcdZz2h3vd5NJB7J0js8lqcXMqjNNITu9LGhDTsqTtIkjorshMpXOpvpllw6cxSH4vpXMofxA3I4Idq11LkJXQs/s1600/003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="253" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2CP7fAyeNCCMbBztJsOpiWcWZoA3ZI0Vvn9E5TOwzoJyP1-THqe7tKcdZz2h3vd5NJB7J0js8lqcXMqjNNITu9LGhDTsqTtIkjorshMpXOpvpllw6cxSH4vpXMofxA3I4Idq11LkJXQs/s1600/003.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
3. Having a full night sleep </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've had episodes of insomnia many times in my life; I started suffering of insomnia when I was in high school.. and with general anxiety disorders it can be a bit of struggle to have a deep night sleep..so I do appreciate when I've had a restful night.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
4. Finding a good parking spot </h3>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Call me lazy but I get happy when I find a parking spot near the entrance of my destination! I really feel accomplished when I've been able to get a spot near the entrance, especially in winter!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwXKFF21p4wNdJSfTAkS6Z3tTA_Xvcq_GWuIWQMGLJuSAC2vm_kOpoe-27bdL88mUIoSxk62XmBGSZgI8PfYuNq05MV6CqJ2yg2DuBtsJELTUjnz2mgVpDiZYqjHoR9Rt9ZSOi4JwR9Fw/s1600/001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwXKFF21p4wNdJSfTAkS6Z3tTA_Xvcq_GWuIWQMGLJuSAC2vm_kOpoe-27bdL88mUIoSxk62XmBGSZgI8PfYuNq05MV6CqJ2yg2DuBtsJELTUjnz2mgVpDiZYqjHoR9Rt9ZSOi4JwR9Fw/s1600/001.jpg" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
5. A cup of tea</h3>
<br />
I use to work in a tea store and ever since then I only drink tea, it's also because my body can't handle the coffee. I really love discovering new teas, and when that happens it makes me happy. It really soothes me to enjoy a good cup of tea<br />
<br />
<h3>
6. Having the right change</h3>
<br />
I truly find it satisfying to have the exact change or have enough change in my wallet for something small that I'll buy. For instance at work we must have change for cookies or candies because they don't accept debit for less than 3$ so it makes me happy when I have enough changed in hand for my sweet tooth.<br />
<br />
<h3>
7. Brand new shoes</h3>
<br />
I love love breaking into new shoes, I love finding the perfect pair in my size (and if it's on sale it's even better)! I love wearing brand new shoes, it just makes my day brighter!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9P42_XuEAwGfOqZK_nkGR1877zHB4uHT-yd4cceszziypDu8nwicTmAlGomqa16t-ZUHAlM6ufZ6TTKxRaN5hBrik8PB7xQqKzSxekEA3p8XgTqf25Kodm-1o0z-0e1drp5x1a3C4aNI/s1600/005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9P42_XuEAwGfOqZK_nkGR1877zHB4uHT-yd4cceszziypDu8nwicTmAlGomqa16t-ZUHAlM6ufZ6TTKxRaN5hBrik8PB7xQqKzSxekEA3p8XgTqf25Kodm-1o0z-0e1drp5x1a3C4aNI/s1600/005.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
8. When my lipstick lasts all day</h3>
<br />
I'm quite lazy when it comes to retouching my lips after having lunch... I just want the rest of day fly by without caring about my lipstick. I love it when my lipstick survived lunch, and afternoon tea! I really don't enjoy putting extra effort to my lipstick!<br />
<h3>
</h3>
<h3>
9. Zero issues at work</h3>
<br />
I work in the footwear industry, and although it's not a matter of saving lives or anything politically important it does get hectic from time to time. I really love when my day goes by smoothly without anyone getting on each other's nerves or eye rolling over minor issues. I love having a day without issues!<br />
<br />
<h3>
10. No traffic</h3>
<br />
I live in Montreal, and the traffic is always unpredictable... There could be a minor accident on the road but it's going cause a major delay because we have very bad traffic layout in Montreal. It really makes me happy to go work without traffic!<br />

I use to be a lover of stilettos, and I still am but my feet would die if I wear them every day so it makes me very happy to have sneakers be part of women's main trends. Sneakers have become a great source of inspirations for the past couple of seasons, and they will definitely evolve with future trends. Here are some sneakers trends to keep an eye on, and taking into account when shopping this fall. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" data-original-height="1150" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVHidrY1y4vil1cmK2bTJYqEHS8c_bXUW7SSURsmyOscPmbEFW8oprxph9J6R5Z-5JEtLZKuxNvsrLnUoZCRmocq0juPuGxDDsMoOuNGoqf1LFZS71W2uf3aixI1cq8uCYA0GGP2A5IGA/s1600/001.jpg" /></div>
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Ugly Sneakers</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I remember scolding my ex for wanting to purchase expensive ugly sneakers, I still think it's not wisest fashion investment as it's a disposable trend. I personally really love these Sandro flame sneakers as they remind me a bit of the Prada SS12 flame collection. They are bit pricey (around 250$ U.S) but are still much less than Acne or Balenciaga which are not worth investing unless you have disposable money to throw out the window. These Sandro sneakers are well designed, and come in multiple colour combinations. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuZ96PvOva_kCgnk7xrrQ5vY_HdUsfRd6nXRgrcRU2kWJr8v-2-pInlSHZ__Bnp7mLH96iD0QGjZNRy7SVazddlyge0F8vYdjGT0kInA2dT9vBjENLgFzS5RLc9cVHy_yzZMPU4DIIj00/s1600/002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1150" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuZ96PvOva_kCgnk7xrrQ5vY_HdUsfRd6nXRgrcRU2kWJr8v-2-pInlSHZ__Bnp7mLH96iD0QGjZNRy7SVazddlyge0F8vYdjGT0kInA2dT9vBjENLgFzS5RLc9cVHy_yzZMPU4DIIj00/s1600/002.jpg" /></a></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Court Sneakers</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Court sneakers are basic to have it's not a trends it's a must have in your wardrobe. These Golden Goose sneakers are perfect because they already have this casual worn look. Please don't buy Stan Smiths (those are way passé) not worth your money it's better to invest in a pair of Golden Goose. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitSJvbZjWpaiKfppZIl9futGpgEIe8b7H2lVlk2yDGiViRsZ5Qw0bafjVgoccxRkN_oUhyphenhyphenc_psc9-d2jPP48U3NjXkGlKPAtDrqF7yCB7V-YxI39dA8q6UTLSjUhTXmxlJtJDpTJ2vFXM/s1600/003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1150" data-original-width="750" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitSJvbZjWpaiKfppZIl9futGpgEIe8b7H2lVlk2yDGiViRsZ5Qw0bafjVgoccxRkN_oUhyphenhyphenc_psc9-d2jPP48U3NjXkGlKPAtDrqF7yCB7V-YxI39dA8q6UTLSjUhTXmxlJtJDpTJ2vFXM/s1600/003.jpg" /></a></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Vans / Animal Prints</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In general animal prints are in for this fall, and why not have them on your feet! I personally really love these Vans but I would have preferred the black leather instead of white. Just get anything with an animal print, and you've covered all trends for 2018 hihihi. </div>

<h3>
<span style="font-size: large;">Cortez </span></h3>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase Cortez, I would say of all of these sneaker trends this isn't the most important one... But they are quite affordable, and comfortable. They are good sneakers to have, and as a Latina I'm quite proud that these sneakers being of that street culture of L.A. </span> </span><br />

<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Chunky Sneakers</h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I simply love love these Nike Tekno sneakers!!! All mainstream athletic sneaker brand has come up with their version of chunky sole sneakers. I personally really love these, and own a pair :) Not only do they have this chunky sole trend but are extremely comfortable. They are also budget friendly, and compared to Puma or Adidas' versions this is THE best one! I really love the lines, and overall design of this sneaker. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_AUYIL1OaHsC1Tdqv8yvaxD02Tk24-d-Y_Hjrrf1BbTDrDOmVsUiSptrIG1fnouqg3cVxX6spi2L1YiCfCE9f1XRLrSYP4zkS_BC29IHJ119L0C3prgKv1SGzP20_uaX15sRjRrLtPJ8/s1600/photo3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="604" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_AUYIL1OaHsC1Tdqv8yvaxD02Tk24-d-Y_Hjrrf1BbTDrDOmVsUiSptrIG1fnouqg3cVxX6spi2L1YiCfCE9f1XRLrSYP4zkS_BC29IHJ119L0C3prgKv1SGzP20_uaX15sRjRrLtPJ8/s1600/photo3.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I always love trying new products, and with every season comes new beauty products to try! This summer, I've reduced the amount of makeup, and I've increase my skincare options. I really hate clogging my pores with foundation when it's 35 degrees outside. All of the products below are some of my favourite ones that I've been using this summer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUh8KRUAc2eb4eEZ41kBj_CUABjZQ_8Mcm1HGcVOFsEXDoaKq45Cwn7FfSkeXqXQrbK_1Gd7YX_wTLmeTld5CEDuRwfF5q3kyvE62hZidbnPSLMXnB0-ZnlXPLdMWzXxqnSPnZa2t6tCk/s1600/photo2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="677" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUh8KRUAc2eb4eEZ41kBj_CUABjZQ_8Mcm1HGcVOFsEXDoaKq45Cwn7FfSkeXqXQrbK_1Gd7YX_wTLmeTld5CEDuRwfF5q3kyvE62hZidbnPSLMXnB0-ZnlXPLdMWzXxqnSPnZa2t6tCk/s1600/photo2.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<h3>
1. Sephora - Lip Balm Watermlon</h3>
I love love this lip balm it smells so delicious, and it's very hydrating!<br />
<br />
<h3>
2. Aesop - Hydration Spray</h3>
I always like to carry a refreshing spray in my bag during summer because I hate having an oily face. I really love this spray, I initially bought it for a trip to China because it's travel friendly. It has a citrus aroma that is simply refreshing when it's deadly humid.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf43gwIu8gvGhiLNQGvzKdqmV-A-WZynqwGK_PC1FkIn9EZkbR7ldkdu0nT1bYYogheJ4XfhkHPFJVGBhuBi4iWAqABAg0DCrEoBy8FFyjXLiedB_H39OVaxVo4XYMR-8eAuPygncvrzc/s1600/photo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="677" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf43gwIu8gvGhiLNQGvzKdqmV-A-WZynqwGK_PC1FkIn9EZkbR7ldkdu0nT1bYYogheJ4XfhkHPFJVGBhuBi4iWAqABAg0DCrEoBy8FFyjXLiedB_H39OVaxVo4XYMR-8eAuPygncvrzc/s1600/photo.jpg" /></a></div>
<h3>
3. Nars Concealer </h3>
<div>
Since I don't like to use foundation during summer I just apply a bit of concealer under my dark eyes, and that's it! This concealer blends well and doesn't crease. </div>
<h3>
4. Marc Jacobs - Eyeliner </h3>
<div>
I also use a bit of eyeliner, I really enjoy this one because it's waterproof. You really need a waterproof eyeliner in the summer as we tend to sweat more. I use a smokey brown shade which is a bit less harsh than black. </div>
<h3>
6. YSL - Tinted Lip Balm </h3>
<div>
I love matte lipsticks but during the summer a more dewy look suits the weather. I really like this lip balm because it's both hydrating, and long lasting! </div>
<h3>
7. Dior - Dior Show Waterproof Mascara</h3>
<div>
I know that waterproof mascara isn't the best for eyelashes as it's more difficult to remove but I tend to get emotional easily so crying is pretty frequent... So waterproof mascara is always needed. I really love this mascara, it's pricier but it does give a lot of volume. I don't wear a lot of makeup during the summer so a mascara that gives volume is necessary. </div>
